John Wensley Deriscar

My name is Jessica Victor, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my family to help cover the homegoing expenses for my beloved nephew, John Wensley.

John was born in March of 2005 and was just 20 years old when his life was tragically cut short on Saturday, September 20th. The youngest boy of his family, he was cherished deeply by his six brothers and sisters and held a special place in all of our hearts.

Wensley had the sweetest soul and a smile that could light up any room. He was a loving son, brother, friend, nephew, uncle, grandson, boyfriend, and an all-around remarkable young man. He was balancing two jobs including one as a Certified Nursing Assistant, while preparing to further his career in healthcare. He was set to begin nursing school in January with dreams of building a future devoted to helping others.

Sadly, his life was taken far too soon by senseless violence. Our hearts are broken, and our family is grieving deeply. John will be remembered not only for his kindness and joy, but also for the love he shared with everyone around him.

We are asking for your support during this difficult time. Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward funeral and memorial expenses to honor John’s life.
