In Memory of John Walters

We are fundraising for Queenscourt Hospice in memory of the late John Walters. Queenscourt provided exceptional care and support; not only for John, but for our whole family during such a difficult time.

Their team carried us every step of the way; offering kindness, empathy, and unwavering support. They visited John daily, ensuring he was comfortable and cared for with dignity till the very end. We are forever grateful for the compassion they showed, and we would love to support them through this fundraiser; To honour John's memory and give back to such an incredible charity.

Are you wondering how the Queenscourt Hospice helps people, similar to John?

The Queenscourt Hospice deliver exceptional care for people with life-limiting illnesses across West Lancashire, Southport and Formby. They allowed John to receive palliative care at home, allowing him to pass in a comfortable relaxed environment. We want others to be able to receive the care, empathy and support we did, especially when the Queenscourt Hospice only receive 21% of its costs from the NHS! They rely heavily on charitable donations to keep the hospice running, so let's do this!

Any donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference to future families who need support like we had. So truly, thank you to all of us for your generosity and support. We also invite you to join us on the 28th of February as we come together to celebrate John’s life and all he meant to us all; The full-day details are;

Church Service at 1:15 pm, at St Peter's & St Paul's Church, 161 Liverpool Rd, Crosby, Liverpool L23 5TE

Burial at 2:30 pm, at the Thornton Garden of Rest, Lydiate Ln, Thornton, Liverpool L23 1TP

Wake at 3 pm, at the Waterloo Rugby Club, The Memorial Ground, St Anthony's Rd, Blundellsands, Liverpool L23 8TW
