John W. Hartnagel Scholarship

John Hartnagel was an amazing son, brother, colleague and friend. John was an intelligent young man, having graduated with high honors from Nanuet Senior High School in 2015 and then graduated from Villanova University in 2019 with a Bachelors degree in Finance and Economics. He had a passion for traveling and experiencing parts of the world he wanted to learn more about. His impact on others was undeniable, profoundly positive, and everlasting. John cared so much for the people in his life as well as his community. He had aspirations for helping those in need and creating a better world.

This past May, John suddenly passed away and it made a devastating hole in so many people’s lives. Because of the current circumstances, the celebration of his life has been very small and private gatherings. We do not want John’s legacy to end in a way that does not truly honor how he wanted to impact those around him.

We have created a scholarship in his name to be available for Nanuet Senior High Schoolers to apply. John was always an advocate for continuing education and using the tools and knowledge to create positive change. Please consider donating money to help continue John’s dream. Thank you.
