John Tremblay Cancer Battle and Recovery
Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,
The Tremblay Family needs our support. John Tremblay, his wife, and their 3 children, once again are facing another unimaginable challenge — a recurrence of cancer that will now require additional extensive and life-altering surgeries.
John is no stranger to cancer and other medical conditions families have endured. He has been raising money for childhood cancer patients and their families and has participated in numerous fundraisers for Miller Children's Hospital of Long Beach as well as many other foundations to support strangers in their time of need.
But in 2016, he found himself a victim of cancer. In 2018, another form of cancer struck. After 7 years of having his life back, he noticed a growth in his mouth. After the test, his medical team determined a procedure called Mandibulectomy (partial removal of the lower jaw), reconstruction using bone from his leg, and removal of affected tissue in his throat would be scheduled. This complex procedure is vital to his survival and long-term recovery — but it comes at a tremendous emotional, physical, and financial cost.
After surgery, John will face months of recovery, including painful rehabilitation and physical therapy to relearn the most basic functions. This journey will require not only immense courage but also the support of a community willing to stand beside him and his family.
