John Tenting’s Journey

My name is Jasmine Tenting and I am starting this fundraiser for my amazing dad, John Tenting.   He is 64 years old and had a heart attack on Thursday, 11/15 and now needs triple bypass surgery on Monday, 11/19.  They also found 2 spots on his lung so they will be removing those as well. He is an extremely fun, strong, and loving person. He is the most caring and generous person I have ever known and I am so incredibly thankful and grateful to call him dad. He is the type of person who will talk to anyone he sees and always try to make you smile and laugh. He loves music of any kind, playing guitar, singing, and just listening to it. He was an actor/stand in for many, many years and loves telling stories of all his past celebrity encounters. He is also someone that is ALWAYS there by your side no matter what happens in life, good, bad, ugly.  He has gone through much loss already in his life. He lost his dad at a young age and his mom not too long after. He also was married to my mom for 30 years and we lost her to a heart attack in 2011.  He is honestly the only person I have left in my immediate family and I love him more than anything. Unfortunately, this is going to not only be a tremendously difficult surgery to get through but also a very, very long and challenging recovery ahead. Not to mention so costly and expensive. Because my mom was taken from us at a young age unexpectedly all of his finances have been spent on taking care of her medical and funeral costs so he is in a really tough spot with money. I am 27 years old and working my absolute hardest to try to get by financially too so unfortunately I don’t have the money to pay for his medical bills, surgery, therapy, and care. I totally understand that we all struggle with finances at times, so if anyone is able to even help out a little bit it seriously means the world to both me and my dad.
