As many of you are aware, my in-laws are in the midst of a very challenging chapter in their lives. Since the beginning of January 2025, John has been in and out of hospitals with no real answers to his drastically declining condition. Unfortunately, on 3/31/2025 John was officially diagnosed with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD), an extremely rare, fatal neurodegenerative condition. He is currently receiving hospice care and is comfortable at home with Leslie and the dogs.

Additionally, Leslie's cancer returned in August of 2024. She has been attending weekly chemotherapy and will soon begin daily radiation starting next week, April 9th.

There are absolutely no words to help heal the hurt Leslie, Rachel and Walter are currently experiencing right now. Every donation, no matter how small, will go towards additional home care and any support the Baird family might need. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
