Our beloved, theatrical friend, John Stuart, is facing one of the greatest acting challenges of his life — showing true bravery through an incredibly difficult battle with metastatic melanoma. In classic John fashion, he continues to keep his family, friends, theatre families, and professional communities informed throughout his journey. His openness and willingness to share both the triumphs and trials of his treatment reflect not only his strength but his desire to support others facing similar challenges. John is nothing if not a fighter — with a heart full of courage and a flair for drama that always reminds us of his rallying cry: “Kill the Wabbit!”

Thankfully, John has had the steadfast support of his wonderful wife, Marci, through a series of grueling treatments — immunotherapy, brain surgery, abdominal surgery, and radiation. His most recent brain surgery successfully removed a tumor, but left temporary challenges with his speech and vision. Doctors are optimistic about his recovery as swelling subsides, and John remains as hopeful and determined as ever.

Still, the physical, emotional, and financial toll of this journey is immense. Despite their strength and optimism, John and Marci are facing mounting expenses - all while navigating a long road to recovery.
