John Softye Liver Transplant Recovery
Donation protected
Our good friend and family member, John Softye, is recovering from a liver transplant on May 17, 2023. Leading up to his diagnosis with HCC (Liver Cancer) and liver failure he has had various health issues which prevented him from working. After his diagnosis, he spent over a year working with countless doctors only to be rejected. After applying to additional hospitals, he was accepted into the program at NY Presbyterian Hospital and had a successful transplant.
John is a loving family man who has never hesitated to help someone in need. He is doing well post-surgery and looking to spend more time with his wife, children, and four grandchildren: Emerson, Noah, Graham, and Benjamin.
As a long-time close friend of the Softye Family I am reaching out to out to anyone willing to help them get through this challenging time. It is unlikely that he can return to work and will suffer from lost wages while taking on the burden of significant costs related testing, doctors, co-pays, medications, transportation, extended care, rehab, etc….
I ask that if you can share your prayers or any contributions would be greatly appreciated to help John and his family get through this time. Thank you all for your care and support.
Best wishes,
