Hi my name is Nick Ferguson and I am fundraising for a memorial service for my Grandpa. John Sheridan passed away, in his home, August 24, 2021 from a long battle with cancer. He was known to so many as an incredible stride pianist and composer, beyond that he was a wonderful caring friend, Pop and Grandpa. John’s selfless love, dedication, and the always fought over trays of lemon bars and chocolate pecan pie bar squares are among the void left in our lives. This feeling echos in the world of Jazz and music that defined John to the core of who he was. Some arrangements had been planned for but there are many things that have been left to be decided. We are asking for donations to provide John with a memorial service that he deserves and gives his friends and family the opportunity to remember and honor John for the person he was.
