The unexpected death of a child is an unimaginable loss that no one could be prepared for. On September 27th, our friend, colleague and dedicated Trauma ICU nurse, Cherie Purdy, lost her son in a car accident.
John Rossetti Jr., fondly known as "Little John Purdy" was only 18 years old.
Although young, he brought so much joy to others serving as a wonderful son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend.
Everyone who knows Cherie and John understand the two share a bond not even death can violate. Although nothing can take away her deep pain, we are asking the community to come together to help offset the financial burden of this unimaginable loss. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated and will go directly to John's mother, Cherie.
To Cherie and family: we are here for you now and always. Even though some of us are hundreds if not thousands of miles away, have comfort in knowing that we are standing by your side, and that you are not alone through any of this.
