"Our strong, joyful warrior, John Ambrose, was diagnosed 3/15/23 with one of the most aggressive forms of the rarest types of leukemia (called MLL MPAL). MPAL itself is difficult to treat as it is the presence of both types of leukemias (ALL & AML), but the additional presence of MLL means treatment is all the more challenging - and makes the likelihood of bone marrow transplantation in Houston at Texas Children's all the more probable.

While we don't understand why one so small (yet so incredible in every way) has to bear this suffering, we do know that God has written the story and design for Ambrose's life long before we ever met him, and we serve a good, good Father. We thank you so much for entering into this story of his life with us through the profound gift of all your prayers, help, and support as we move forward into the unknown and prepare for the birth of baby Lilian Jean in April 2023.

We truly have been given the grace to bear this suffering through the tremendous outpouring of love from friends and family and the Peace of God that surpasses all understanding."
