In Loving Memory Of John R. Garcia

Hello Everyone,
As some of you may know, my Dad was diagnosed with metastatic (stage 4) cancer in February of this year. This news has changed the course of my life and devastated me. Unfortunately, I am unable to afford his medical expenses and ultimate funeral cost. Anything would be tremendously appreciated. I love my Dad and I want to be able to support him the way he has supported me by coming to all my football games and cheering me on! I remember being super excited to see him on the weekend! He was funny, outgoing, and full of life. That is why this has been so difficult because he is not the same person. He is in so much pain, the cancer has spread throughout his entire body. It kills me to see the once 185-pound man go to 140 pounds so quickly. He can’t eat and he doesn’t want to talk. This has affected him mentally. My Dad has always been a private and distant person. Growing up, it was just him, my late Grandfather, my late Grandmother, and then I came along. Now I am all he has. I feel bad because I am all the way in North Carolina, while he is in a Chicago hospital. I am grateful that my Mom and my brother have been checking up and keeping up with things on him since I am away. There is not much that the doctors can do but provide him with pain management. Thanks for all the love and support.
