Hello, My name is Angel de Vries, John Carvers Daughter. My amazing father passed away on December 29th tragically involved in a motor vehicle accident. I am creating this page to help relieve some of the financial burden left on my mother Hilda Carver and our family during this Tragic loss.

John Patrick Carver

(October 6th, 1964 - December 29th, 2022)

Our beloved John Patrick Carver passed away unexpectedly on Thursday December 29, 2022 involved in a tragic vehicle crash.

John is remembered by his wife Hilda Carver; Daughter and Husband Angel and Jacob de Vries; sons Cruz and Bo Cisneros; and grandchildren Cruz and Zoey Cisneros, Elisa and Sophia de Vries.

Born in Las Cruces, NM on October 6th, 1964, to George and Georgia Carver. John grew up loving and exploring every ounce of life that he could. John and Hilda met at the Blue Moon Bar one Friday night. Immediately smitten, always proclaiming his unconditional love for his wife and family. My dad always wanted what was best for our family and worked every day to make lemon aid out of lemons for anyone around him. He lit up any room with his beaming smile and always had an abundance of positive energy. Anyone who knew our dad knew just what a selfless, kind, and hardworking man he was.

Many memories can be shared of fly-fishing knee deep in an Alaskan creek breaking our backs to reel in a feisty salmon, only later spitting out the bones until we mastered the filet. Many concerts and spontaneous trips we went on will forever be cherished. He always loved checking out a new restaurant, hike, or lake. If you heard rock jamming you could bet it was John playing it on any speaker he could hook up to. Although John loved to travel and explore different walks of life and spent the last ten years of his life in the Pacific Northwest, Juanito was always proud of where he came from. Nuevo Mexico, the Land of Enchantment.

John Carver is a Brother of the IBEW, his second family. For the last 35 years he proudly put those work boots on, packed that lunch box up and 3 cups of coffee in, walked out that door at 4am solid. He loved what he did, and our family was always so proud of his unremarkable dedication to his trade. He belonged to Local Union 583. He spent most of his recent times working around the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.

Forever missed for his infectious smile and kind soul. Until we meet again. We love you. We said our last goodbyes and lived out our fathers wishes, and his body was cremated tonight on 12/31/2022 witnessed by our entire immediate family.

Service honoring John Carver will be held at the La Paz- Graham’s Funeral Home on Saturday January 7th, 2023 at 9am.
