My nephew, John Paul Stoffey, found out in July 2018, the week of his 48th birthday that he had stage 4 glioblastoma brain cancer.  He was suffering from headaches most of that week. Even with a pounding headache,  he drove to work to the Tobyhanna Army Depot but couldn't start the work day. A friend of his had to drive him home.

All John wanted to do was lay down, but because he had the headache for a few days his wife, Stacey, took him to the emergency room at Geisinger CMC in Scranton, PA. There, they took an MRI and found the tumors.  There were two tumors the size of golf balls on the right side of his brain between his ear and eye.

He had surgery a week later at the CMC.  Dr. Leslie Lyness was able to remove only 97% of the tumors but there was that 3% they couldn't get at. John is now going for radiation treatment that will be followed by chemotherapy.

After that he will be going to Philadelphia for additional treatments at the Cancer Treatment Center of America.

His 20 year old daughter, Chloe, and his 16 year old son, Hunter, are very close to their dad and have been a big help, however, he needs more help financially as a lot of the treatments, medications, traveling and related expenses are not covered by insurance.

We are starting this go find me page in hope that John can receive additional financing, along with prayers and moral support.

Right now John is feeling very weak from treatments but he is also very optimistic. We will continue to keep you updated on his progress.
