John O'Donnell & Carla Faletti Family Relief Fund

Carla Faletti's long-time partner, John Louis O’Donnell, died suddenly on July 4, 2020.  He was born on August 2, 1950 in Portland Oregon and graduated from Portland State University.   

John eventually moved to Tazewell, Virginia.  After 14 years of courtship, John and Carla married on July 24, 2011.

John was a quiet man; a teacher, a businessman, a writer, a dog dad, a friend, a counselor and a confidant to all.  Most recently, he was his newly adopted little girl's favorite man.  

Carla and John recently adopted Heather.  Heather was extremely close to John, as he cared for her as a father would. 

Carla, as many of you know,  has recently suffered several serious medical difficulties and, in fact, was entering surgery the day that John passed.

As many of you know, Carla is a successful Family Law Attorney. 

However, with this devastating loss, funeral expenses, mounting medical bills, and a  young grieving daughter, she could use our assistance, as she has given many others throughout her life. 

Carla has been a huge inspiration in many of our lives, whether it be in her personal or her professional life.  For many of us, it was in the hills of Appalachia, while in law school, that Carla made a lasting impression.  Carla took many under her wing and, essentially, acted as a surrogate mother, during some of the most challenging years of our lives.
