Last night, my best friend, my brother from another mother, John Noel Jr, was involved in a head on collision while taking his daughter Nyla home after church. Lifeflight took him to UAB, where he was found to have several broken ribs and fractured vertebrae. Nyla has a concussion and needed some stitches, but will otherwise be fine.

Due to covid protocol, we cannot see him at the moment. His mother and his loving girlfriend Kristin are keeping us posted.

If you know John, you love him. He's there for anyone, anytime you need him. He's hilarious, a great cook, and the hardest worker I know. He's a great father and has been my best friend for close to 25 years. He had just finished classes and was due to start clinicals today for his new job at Huntsville hospital.

If I could cover his expenses myself, you wouldn't be seeing this. But, even though I can't, I refuse to sit here and watch him work this hard, for this long, only to be knocked right back down as a result of someone else's careless actions. He has a long road ahead of him and will need all the help he can to take care of what insurance will not cover.
