John Nichols- Loving husband and outstanding dad

Hello.. my name is Karen Clark. It is with a very heavy heart that I created this gofundme for Alyssa and the kids.
John Nichols was a beautiful soul, funny, caring and comfortable to be around. You could have known him for 5 minutes and felt like you've known him 5 years.
On the morning of October 4th 2023, John had left for work like any other day. As the kids headed out for the school bus, He hugged his three babies, Payton (15), Autumn(12), and Jackson (5, due to turn 6 just next month), kissed them, made silly Dad-jokes and promises of plans for when he got home from work. He held his wife, brushed her hair from her eyes and kissed her. Even got out of the truck to run back and get just one more kiss to "hold him over". He told all 4 "Have a good day, and I'll see y'all this evening, love yall bunches and bunches" literally just as he did every single day, whether he was leaving for work or just to the store... he and his wife would text throughout the day, but his family would never see him again. After work, John has punched out and drove to check on his Momma, like he did nearly everyday, before heading home. His phone had died so he had just headed over there instead of texting or calling. Something had transpired that caused the loss of control of the truck, where the truck ended up colliding with a residence, which caught fire. He was able to escape the truck but tragically couldn't escape the duplex. When John's mother, who was away from her home at that moment, heard sirens, she Immediately called Alyssa, Johns wife to see if he had made it home yet. When he hadn't, panic set in for the both of them. They, along with the family, spent all night searching for him but to no avail. It wasn't until the following morning when the truck has been discovered. Hours later, John had been recovered.
John was an incredibly loving and dedicated Daddy, Son, Husband, Nephew, Cousin, Brother, Friend...he loved to fish, and go out to concerts, metal especially... he always loved to make people laugh and smile, no matter what he was going through in his personal life, he always had to get a smile or laugh from everyone he met. When he and Alyssa went on their first date, BOTH of them instantly knew they were each other's soulmate. John proposed just three weeks later and on October 6th 2007 (today would've been their 16th wedding anniversary) they got married. They have built an world established from love, friendship, dedication, blood, sweat and tears. They brought into this world three special children, and the five of them together would take on all of life's challenges head on. When he wasn't with family and friends, he worked full time to care for his wife and children. His wife is permanently disabled and unable to work (not receiving disability) so she stayed home with their three children meeting their special and unique needs. They both knew that him being sole financial provider and her staying home is what was going to give their children the best opportunities possible. Never once did he ever complain, just got up and did whatever needed to be done and did whatever it took to be the best father and husband for his little family. With John's tragic and sudden death, his family is left with zero income in the household.
We appreciate all the love and support for Alyssa, Payton, Autumn and Jack more than words can express. Even a share can help. Thank you guys.
