My name is John Volkirch and I'm starting a gofund me page to help pay my medical bills. It all started on February 24 2024 I had a heart attack while visiting the WSU campus. The EMT's worked on me for more than 30 minutes to get me to become conscious. I was then air vac to Spokane where I spend 23 days their and had open heart surgery. It was a two way bypass. I was released on March 17th and sent home. Then the third week of October 2024 I was diagnosed with cancer. The doctors do not know where it started from but it attached to my liver. It turned out to be stage 4 cancer. I'm retired and on Medicare. I have had 14 chemo treatments so far and have many more to come. Medicare only pays so much t he rest is on me to pay.
