On Monday, September 29th, our dear friend John Mosier passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. John was more than a firefighter—he was a protector, a neighbor you could always count on, an unrelenting friend, and a true jack of all trades. Whether it was lending a hand with repairs, offering words of encouragement, making you laugh with a silly dance or borderline inappropriate meme, or rushing toward danger when others turned away, John lived his life in service to others.

But above all, John was a devoted father. His greatest pride and joy was his beautiful 11-year-old daughter, Gideon. He loved her fiercely and worked tirelessly to provide her with a safe, loving home. Though his time with us was far too short, his love for Gideon and his impact on our community will be felt forever.

We are reaching out to family, friends, and neighbors to help us honor John’s memory with a proper Celebration of Life. Funds raised will go toward funeral expenses and the memorial service, so we can gather together to remember the remarkable man he was, share stories, and support Gideon and his family

during this heartbreaking time.
