John Moore memorial fund..Napavine Youth Baseball

We are creating this fundraiser in honor of John Moore’s dedication to Napavine Youth Baseball. John was a valued coach and leader with Napavine Youth Baseball since 2008. John started coaching at the Rookie level for his Grandson Deven’s team in 2009. John moved up into the minor division, but really enjoyed coaching the Rookie age group. He taught these young players not only about playing the game of baseball, but the heart of the game as well. In 2018-19 John represented the league as President, while he continued to coach his ball players. Through his 10 years of coaching, his players remember the recognition and support from his awarded game balls, milkshake practices, and paydays for a job well done. He was a straight forward and supportive coach. The memories are countless. We will miss his support and love for our youth community.

John not only coached baseball but he also coached wrestling, football and basketball.

John lost his battle with Pancreatic Cancer on Aug. 26, 2021 after being diagnosed on Jan. 23, 2020.  His determination and fight kept him around longer than the 3 months he was originally given.  

The funds raised in Coach John’s name will go towards many ongoing improvements to the facility, much needed equipment as well as a portion being provided to families in need of assistance to help with sign up fees.

John’s wish was to have all his baseball players, family members and loved ones play one last game while celebrating his legacy. His wish was also that it be a potluck. Bring a dish to share, all your baseball gear and be ready for a game!

This Celebration and game will be held on Sept 18th at 1:00pm at the Napavine Youth Baseball Fields in Napavine, WA.
