Support John's Medical expenses & family Lodging

Hi, my name is Shelley. I am John Russo‘s wife as many of you know. John has suffered from a terrible disease called chronic pancreatitis for over 18 years. We have battled and fought with the doctors for many years through Kaiser with no help for my husband. We finally decided to change insurance and we had high hopes and finally got a surgery scheduled with UCSF. This surgery is called a total pancretectomy with auto islet cell transplant. TPIAT. It is a major surgery, but we had no other options. John has been living in pain for many years. Although the last year has been most difficult with him being on disability for over a year now and losing his disability and insurance we now have cobra expenses so we can continue his care. Today was his surgery and there were a lot of complications and did not go as planned. John will be sedated for the next few days and they will go back in and do another surgery on Saturday. Myself and some of my kids will be staying in San Francisco to be close to him until we know that he is going to pull out of this.
