John McWalter 10K for 10K

John McWalter, was an incredible and loving father and husband. He was a cherished friend to many, kind, generous and a committed football coach and fan. Known for his cheeky sense of humour and fun he was loyal to family, friends, his community, Mayo and Garrymore GAA!
John died suddenly on 19th November 2010. Ten years on the Covid restrictions mean we cannot be together as a family to celebrate his life, so we have decided to celebrate the generous person that John was by raising funds for two charities that meant a lot to him and the family.
On the 18th November we are going to do a 10k relay across three countries to unite us as a family. Starting with Aishling in Dublin she will run a 10K and pass the baton on to Margaret (Mam) in Connemara who after her 10K will pass it on Niamh in Limerick. After Niamhs 10k it goes across the Atlantic sea to James in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico who after his 10k will pass the baton up to Ian in Vancouver, Canada for the final 10K.
We aim to raise 10k to be shared between St Vincent de Paul and Western Care.
We know that many of our friends and family have been affected by Covid 19 both physically and financially and please know that no donation is too small and if you are not in a position to donate we know you will be with us in spirit.
Every penny raised will be divided equally between the two charities who both work tirelessly to make the world a better, kinder place for all in our society.
