John McPeak - Navy Veteran - Stage IV Melanoma
Donation protected

In October, 2018, John was diagnosed with melanoma. It began with a biopsy of a suspicious mole on his left arm, and we quickly learned that it had already spread to his lymph nodes. Since then, he has battled multiple tumors in his brain, lungs and bowels. John has been self-employed for years, and has continued to work throughout his treatments, which have included immunotherapy, oral chemotherapy, and multiple rounds of radiation on his brain and lungs. Unfortunately, recently, he began experiencing new symptoms, including intense nerve pain and double vision, which prevent him from driving or working. His most recent MRI showed 15 new or growing brain lesions, plus cancer in his central nervous system, and he is now undergoing his 6th round of radiation.
If you know him, you know that it is almost impossible to keep him from working and staying busy. Even over the last four to five months, while dealing with tremendous pain in his legs, back and head, he has continued to accept jobs so he can pay his bills. This just isn’t feasible anymore, and he needs help, so he can concentrate on fighting this garbage disease, rather than stressing about money for his living expenses.
Johnboy is literally one of the most pure-hearted people I have ever known. One of the few humans that I have ever encountered who always wants what’s best for everyone around him, no matter the cost to him personally. So many people have reached out to us, to ask how they can help, and that is a testament to his character. He is a good person, who has attracted so many good people in his life. I am so grateful to all of you, and I won’t ever be able to express that gratitude adequately. Just know that you are appreciated and loved.
All funds raised will go directly to John’s day to day expenses, uncovered medical bills, and possibly one or two things on his bucket list. If you love JB, and want to help more directly, send me a message and I'll give you his favorite salad order from Mad Greens. :) I'm working as much as I can, until I can't, and a delivered lunch would be sweet and welcomed. We need to take care of our homie. <3
I understand that times are tough for many, so if you are unable to donate, I humbly request that you share the link to his fundraiser and pray for his comfort and healing.
