Less than a week before Christmas, the Matyi family witnessed their father & husband go into cardiac arrest. They helplessly watched as the paramedics tried to resuscitate. John Matyi passed. John was the father to his son Hunter who is a part of the Seneca family in his junior year and his daughter Hailey who is an 8th grader at Olsen Middle School. The trauma the kids and wife went through in those moments has left them with unimaginable heartache. Not only is the family grieving but with the loss of the income that John provided, they will struggle to pay everyday bills. The mortgage, insurance, the basic needs of any family. Many of you may may know Stacie Matyi as the woman in Tabernacle who sold delicious baked goods on the holidays. The pain and uncertainty this family is feeling is unbearable to watch.
