John Lopez Medical and Memorial Fund

My dad, John Lopez, passed away on Friday May 28, 2021. He was diagnosed in August 2019 with an extremely rare form of cancer. He had cancer in his tongue that started in his salivary glands. He had major surgery to remove a large portion of his tongue. The doctors took portions from his leg and arm to reconstruct his tongue. The swelling never went down and my dad was never able to fully regain his speech. He was also on a feeding tube until the day he passed. My dad went through many rounds of chemotherapy and radiation at the Cancer Center here in Tucson, AZ. 

John Lopez was a very loving husband, father and friend. He was also a proud Army veteran. Anyone who knew my dad would tell you how friendly and funny he was. My dad knew EVERYONE! His passing leaves a huge whole in all of our hearts.

All funds from this fundraiser will go directly to my mom, Dora Lopez, to assist in medical bills and funeral costs.
