Aloha! John has been battling cancer for almost 8 years, the last 3 years have been a more serious challenge. He is now in stage 4 with no other alternatives being offered.  Up until the last month he has continued to work on our farm and maintain a yard maintenance service. He is now no longer able to do any of that! Our children and family have stepped up for now until I can figure all this out. The reality of the financial impact is just beginning to hit me. It has not been foremost in my mind as we've made this journey. He has been hospitalized 4 times since the beginning of the year, 2 times medi-vaced from Hana. The medical bills are starting to hit as well as the credit card bills for all of our travel to Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Phoenix.  I do not know how I will be able to deal with all of this financially as well as a mortgage on my personal income.  John has no life insurance policy.  I have hesitated to ask for financial assistance but now that our backs are against the, the reality has come clear, we need help and we need it soon! 

John is an amazing human being, has outlived every prediction, has continued to maintain his great spirit, share with his children, grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews - passing on his knowledge. We are grateful for each and every minute we can be with him.  He is home, where he wants to be, and we are providing all the love and care we possibly can.
