Life saving medical care for John Libhart Jr.

As many of you know, John has delivered mail for the USPS for the last 14 years.  He has had many health issues over the years, but because he wasn't a permanent employee, he didn't have the time off to focus on himself and thought he could get through it on his own. This caused John to put his health on the back burner until he could become a permanent employee with full benefits.  

His hard work and perseverance paid off and he finally received a permanent route at the post office 4 weeks ago.  We were all very happy for him.  We knew his future was bright.

Then, the wind was quickly taken from our sails on Friday evening, April 12th.  John was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance and admitted into the ICU.  By Saturday morning, our family was given the news that John had multiple organs failing  and they weren't receiving enough oxygen when he was breathing on his own.  He was heavily sedated and intubated.  John also has cellutis in both legs which have open wounds.  Our family also found out that John had been unable to get out of bed for the last week before the incident.

Thanks to the wonderful Doctors and Nurses at St. Joseph's Hospital, John is on his way to recovery.  Any day now, he will be moved to a rehabilitation facility.  Since John is only recently permanent at the post office, he is blessed with great insurance but hasn't accumulated sick time to be able to pay for it.  He also will need to be off work for some time while his body is healing.  John is very prideful and would never ask for help.  We are asking that all of our family and friends pull together and support John while he recovers, so this will be one less thing he has to stress about.  We all know he would give anyone the shirt off his back or make a meal for your family, so let's help him now.
