John Landis-Bucket list Funds

John was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in September. He completed his chemotherapy in November and went to surgery to have it removed. Unfortunately the surgery could not be completed as we hoped and it left him with more complications. John has been battling these complications since before Christmas with many long stays in the hospital and countless procedures. Just a few short months ago, he was independent, working 40+ hours a week, and looking forward to a week’s vacation. Now we are hoping for a few more weeks with him. His health is still declining and he’s determined to check off a few things on his bucket list.

- Buy a limo and drive it

- Take mom to NC to see the wild horses

If you have ever met my dad or worked with him over his many years as a custodian for Westerville school or the post office, you know he’s always there for anyone. My dad is the person to put everything else on hold to help someone he may not even know. If you went to school with me or my brother, you also know my dad would never let you go hungry. He would gladly put your meal on his account for lunch without a thought. He’s never anyone who would ask for anything and still is. So I’m here asking for you to help me make his wishes come true.

Anyone who knows my dad know he loves his cars and a limo was always a lifetime goal. I would love to achieve this for him! He was always buying or working on something always. And yes, mom has approved “whatever he wants” today and I’m going big!

Dad also feels like as time is slowly passing him by there were things he wanted to do or see. One is these wild horses with my mom! Married so long and after mom’s battle with cancer, dad continued to work so someday they could enjoy their time together. I would love to give them this trip without worries.
