On June 22nd our family began a scary journey. We took John to the ER for pain ( thinking it was his appendix) and havent left the hospital since. John needed an emergency operation for an advanced, complete intestinal obstruction from complications due to Crohns disease. Up until that day we had no idea he had this disease and have a long road to recovery ahead of us. Anyone who knows me, who knows John, its really hard for us to ask for help but as we embark on this scary, exhausting and painful time as a family, Im also reaching out to my friends. We have a long stay in the hospital and John who works very hard to provide for his family cannot do that for awhile. He is on TPN (special nutrients) given through a picc line in his arm, a Naso Gastric tube down his throat and a large incision through his abdomen where he had part of his small intestine, large intestine and appendix removed. After we are in the clear to leave the hospital, he will have to go to a Skilled Nursing facility to continue receiving the nutrients he needs and further heal from his surgery. I am incredibly humbled and grateful for the support we have had so far. Our families have come together to aid with caring for our children as I travel from hospital to home. These things are more important than money. We love John very much and want his road to recovery to be the best it can be. His treatment and medicine is very expensive and the cost of raising a big family on top of that is alot to bear right now. If there is any help out there, we would be beyond appreciative, as well as your love, support and prayers. Thank you all so much from the Kenny family.
