Fundraising John Keating’s Funeral

Donation protected
We are raising funds to help support the Keating family with funeral costs following the sad passing of John Keating, who died on Saturday 20th December 2025, aged 83.

John suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm while helping to manage a local football club — a club he proudly set up alongside his son, Jay, back in 1993. After five days in hospital, John passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.

John lived a long, happy, and active life. He was a familiar and much-loved face in the local community, known for walking everywhere and stopping to chat with just about everyone he met. Many people knew John simply from seeing him out and about, always moving, always smiling.

Family meant everything to John. One of his greatest joys was walking his beloved granddaughter, Bobbi, to and from school every day — a routine filled with love, laughter, and memories that will be treasured forever.
John also stayed active well into later life, playing walking football with AFCB, something he truly enjoyed and took great pride in.

This fundraiser has been set up to help ease the financial burden of funeral costs for John’s family during an incredibly difficult time. Any donation, no matter how small, would be deeply appreciated. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this page would mean a great deal.

Thank you for your kindness, support, and for helping us celebrate and honour the life of a truly wonderful man.
