Kate and I are running the Brighton Marathon 2026 for the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) – and we need your support!
In April 2026, we’ll be taking on 26.2 miles along the Brighton seafront to raise money for CALM – a leading movement against suicide.
We are running because:
• Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 50 in the UK.
• 125 people die by suicide every week – and 75% of them are men.
• CALM’s helpline and webchat answer a call for help every 59 seconds.
• In just one year, CALM directly prevented over 1,000 suicides through intervention and support.
CALM is there for anyone struggling with life, offering free, confidential support and challenging the stigma around mental health every single day.
This is why we are proud to be supporting CALM, to help keep their vital work going, to raise awareness and to show that it’s OK to talk. And to make sure that no one ever feels like they have to face things alone.
Your donation, big or small, will go directly towards funding life-saving services – from free, confidential helplines to community campaigns that break the silence around suicide and mental health.
If you or anyone you know needs support, please contact CALM on: www.thecalmzone.net/ or call 0800 585 858.
