It saddens me greatly to share the news that on January 22, 2024, John "J. Paw" Pawloski, Jr. entered eternal rest after a yearlong battle with stage 4 metastatic colon cancer. John was a loving father, devoted husband, incredible builder, dedicated construction mentor, and trusted friend. John gave so much to everyone around him, and in this challenging time for his family, it would mean so much to show our love and support to John’s family.

John was one of a kind, giving his all to everyone he interacted with. He loved his career in construction with McCarthy and poured his talents into mentoring the next generation. He was committed to showcasing the opportunities in the trades as well as inspiring youth to explore all options in the industry. He taught classes and held lead mentoring roles at EVIT, Skills USA, Arizona Construction Career Days, Arizona Builders Alliance, and ACE Mentoring, just to name a few. In 2018, he was named mentor of the year by ACE Mentoring, recognized for his dedication to giving back to others.

In 2021, his daughter Alexa, who was a senior in high school, entered ACE; John watched with great adoration as she embarked on a path following in his footsteps. His daughter Caitlyn is a senior in high school and has interests in both ultrasound and ministry. His son Nathan, a freshman in high school, shared John’s passion for plumbing and doing projects with his dad, and all signs point to him also continuing John’s legacy in the construction industry. John and Gina were married for 24 years and raised a beautiful family together.

As Gina guides her family without John by her side, she is dedicated to nurturing their three amazing children to the other side of this storm to the sunshine, guiding her family through this deep sadness with hope for happiness.

Please consider contributing to this fund covering the unexpected costs related to John’s heartbreaking passing. Prayers and love to the Pawloski Family.
