Last week, someone broke into John Jay’s car and although no one got hurt the one thing they stole was something near and dear which was his camera equipment. In addition to his camera they took, three lenses (24–70mm, 50mm, 35mm), batteries, memory cards, and a charger.

If you know JJ, you know he’s not just an incredible photographer he’s probably the most generous person I've ever met and has poured his craft into capturing life’s most meaningful moments for those close to him. He’s photographed weddings, pregnancies, and creative projects, using his time and talent to uplift others and reflect back the worth he sees in them. JJ is the first one to believe in another's vision, and he usually does it for free.

If you know anything about John Jay, that’s just who he is.

So, if you’ve ever been touched by his work, whether working closely with him, simply enjoying his images, or you just know the guy- I invite you to help him replace the gear he lost.
