Our wonderful friend JJ is taking the incredible opportunity of undertaking an MA at the Glasgow School or Art. JJ is a working class Queer from County Durham and doesn’t have the same backing as others who might make such a move. Moving to a major city means deposits and rent and bills and buying food all while you get on your feet.

JJ is an incredible artist. Graduating from the Northern School of Art with a First Class degree. JJ has worked damn hard over many years to keep making and exhibiting work while navigating insecure employment and the welfare system. Even in the face of that they are carving an arts career that is pushing genres and visual language into new territory. Weaving installation, assemblage, textiles and performance into arresting and dynamic works.

Support of JJ to take this huge step means you can be part of history, of supporting an incredible artist to take the next step in a career that will undoubtedly result in exposure, accolades and exultation.
