Hi, my name is Rick...as some of you may know or may not know, John, my friend for nearly 18 years was sick for over 2 years. He suffered complications from Thyroid surgery back on July 14, 2021, which put him in a nursing home until the end. He put up a good fight until 4-5 months until he developed Melanoma in his right lung. This past July, he was diagnosed with Melanoma on the brain which ended his life on August 8, 2023...not even a month after being diagnosed. Unfortunately, when John passed away,he had no burial benefits or life insurance...as you can imagine, it left a huge financial burden on me. I want to honor his last wishes, which is for him to be sent home to Australia to be laid to rest with his parents. So, this is why I am putting this fundraiser on to pay for that and his outstanding medical bills from the nursing home. All I ask, that you consider donating whatever you can afford to help ease the burden...every little bit helps.
