Hi everyone... In March of this year my Dad underwent a Spinal Fusion and a Laminectomy. Shortly after, in the same week he had a very invasive neck surgery to remove a large bone spur. Little did we know the outcome of these 3 surgeries would land our Dad bedridden and in need of 24/7 care. He lost total function of his right arm and leg for a couple months, and very little movement from the rest of his body. He is just now very slowly being able to learn to move again, thanks to physical therapy and as many exercises as we can get him to do. After 2 months in a rehabiliaion center he was able to go home, where his wife, my Stepmom, Yvonne is caring for him around the clock, with the help of her Sister Debbie. Due to the extensive care he has needed, the both of them are unable to work, leaving them living off of only social security, and struggling to pay medical bills. We are unsure at this time how long it will take for him to get back to normal, but in the meantime we are desperate and asking for help any way we can. It has been a very emotional, sad and unexpected journey and we are doing everything we can to get our Dad up and back to his old self as quickly as possible. If you know or have ever met my Dad, you know what an amazing, fun, loving, hard working man he is. We appreciate any thoughts, well wishes, prayers and support. Thank you so much friends and family, and I will keep everyone updated on his progress.
