John Hisel Memorial Fund
Donation protected
I am devastated to share that our dear friend Jon Hisel passed away suddenly in his sleep on January 26. He was an amazing son, brother, partner, friend, and loved by all.
As many know, his health had been in decline over the past few years, and had progressively gotten much worse over the past 12 months. However, John was a fighter, and always willing to take the next step -- no matter how courageous -- towards a healthier life.
If you know John, he was one of the funniest, realest people ever. He always had a sarcastic comment, but if you took the time to get past his defenses, he had the biggest heart and was a beautiful, giving and caring person. He was truly one of a kind, and will be missed terribly. He leaves behind a partner of ten years, Rob Kerr, who is one of my best friends and favorite people on this earth; he is completely heartbroken.
Per John’s wishes, he will be cremated, with a memorial service and celebration of his life and art at a later date. He did not have an end of life fund or insurance, and because of that, many people have expressed wanting to help out in some way. Please consider sharing through this difficult time.
Donations will go directly to his partner of 10 years, Rob Kerr to help with end of life costs and future expenses.
