Our names is D'Arcy and Jason Horton and we were close friends (pretty much brothers) of John's. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend. He never minded telling you the truth, whether it be harsh or not, and he would give you the shirt off his back. He was always there to help a friend, a friend of a friend, or anyone else who needs it. We know his loss will be felt by many.

Hearing of his passing has left an empty space in our hearts and in our lives, especially in those close to him, like his children Toni-Lynn and Michael and Micheal's children (John's grandchildren) Wilson (4) and Freya (18 months) and his step children, Kaitlyn (19), Dawn (16), Ashley (15), Jemma (12) Sierra (10) and his step-grandaughter Nova (6 months).

We are starting this to help the family out with funeral expenses as these can pile up and add unnecessary stress to an already stressful situation.

We figured this was the least we could do for a man that did everything for everyone else.

He will be missed and the world is a bit worse without him in it.
