My name is Larry Kline Jr. I am John Harry Kline‘s only brother.

I receive that awful call on Sunday, September 6, 2025 that they had found my brother deceased in downtown Springfield.

He lived a life on the streets and had a lot of friends and many businesses that cherished his friendship. Everyone who knew John have had nothing but good things to say about him. He worked many years for Suzy Q’s and Prairie capital convention center. I have always wished better for him but it was his life. I know he’s going to be missed by so many people and all of his downtown family.

It is unfortunate that he has left this world too soon and on the other hand I’m jealous that he is now with my mother and father and sister who I never met. Johnny also lives behind a beautiful daughter who is so very talented in her art. It saddens me that the relationship between them wasn’t closer but I hope she knows that we all think about her all the time and are very proud of the woman that she has become.

We are currently trying to raise funds to give Johnny the best burial. He deserves. We will have a celebration of life and will provide food and drinks. I will post or my wife will with the dates and times and location for the celebration of life. Johnny did not have a Will nor did he have any type of life insurance, so this is hard for us to ask for help. This is the last thing I expected to be doing. Anything will be helpful. At this time we do not have an approximate date but we will post it as soon as we speak with the crematory. I do have an appointment today at 1 o’clock so I will know more after our meeting.
