John Griffiths Memorial donate for Cancer Research
In lieu of flowers we would suggest making a donation in memorial of John Griffiths to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, WA.
John lived a full life of love, travel, work, fun, and adventures with family and friends. It was not until his final year of life he would discover he not only had Lung Cancer but Cholangiocarcinoma (a rare liver cancer) as well.
John bravely battled both cancers.
Lung Cancer is severely underfunded as many believe there's a negative stigma attached to it with smoking. However, there are many general and environmental causes that contribute as well.
Cholangiocarcinoma is a rare liver cancer that went undetected until the last week of John's life. It's very hard to detect and usually goes unnoticed until it's too late. We believe this was the cause of most of John's pain and discomfort.
Although great strides have been made in cancer research, there is so much more to be done to save and extend lives of amazing men and women like John.
Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
More information about Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center: At Fred Hutch, our mantra is Cures Start Here. We believe that we will have curative therapies for most, if not all, cancers by the year 2025, but we can't do it without your help. We see an end of suffering in sight, and your support is what will propel us forward. Together we can accelerate new discoveries that will help people facing cancer. We will put an end to this terrible disease.
