Hi ..My name is Jim K. I am attempting to raise money through "Go Fund Me" for my friend John Graupman's medical bills being incurred as a result of his recent illnesses. John is without work, lives alone, and is struggling financially. And has no outside insurance policy. Several weeks ago I noticed John's lower legs and feet were very swollen. He had been to the doctor and was given no clear diagnosis of his condition. Soon his upper legs also become swollen. When we discussed his symptoms, he informed me that he sought a different doctor's opinion who ordered more testing.

Last Thursday, we had a get together with several other friends at a church in Circle Pines. I noticed as others did, that John was pale, very confused, and somewhat incoherent. We all realized something was medically wrong with him. We asked him about his apparent health ailments, confusion, lack of mindfulness, and slurred speech. He was taken immediately to the hospital urgent care. Upon examination, John was found to be severely dehydrated, the skin on his legs had split open, his blood sugars were low, and he was suffering from kidney failure. He has type 2 diabetes.

John was immediately hospitalized, placed in isolation, and his health attended to by several doctors.

After stabilizing him, he has now has been sent to a 21 day rehab center, and placed in a two week quarantine, He will go back on medication for his diabetes, given speech therapy, and will concentrate on his walking and ambulatory needs.

Purpose of the fund is to assist him with his medical bills outside of medicare. We are certain his bill will amount to several thousand dollars. With out a job, it will be difficult for John to make ends meet and pay for medical the debt he is incurring.
