John Garduce's Surgery
Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends,
Sam and I are writing to ask for your help and generosity in supporting a fundraiser for Susan's grandson in the Philippines -- a little boy (six years old) named John, who was born with an imperforate anus and is in desperate need of surgery and medical care. The surgery should have been performed when he was born, but his parents could not afford treatment, and after years of complications, John's health is seriously at risk. He developed a hernia when he was five because of the strain on his system and had to have a testicle removed as a result. And he needs the surgery to have any chance of a healthy childhood.
From what we've heard from Susan, this little boy is amazing -- always positive and happy, and certain he will get better and be able to go to school with his friends. We have found a reputable pediatric surgeon to perform the surgery and it is scheduled for when Susan is back home at the end of October. We'd love to help make sure he gets the care he needs.
We know there are so many causes that deserve attention right now -- but this surgery/after care will save John's life and would mean the world to Susan (who means the world to us). Please consider attending on the 29th or donating online. Our goal is $2500.
Thank you so much!
Jess and Sam
