Update. John will be going through a bone marrow transplant once he is in remission from the leukemia. This will be an intense procedure with another round of chemo. He has been in the hospital for a month now and hopefully go home soon. He will be doing PT at home plus a drain tube for his lungs. Thank you again for all the support and prayers.

We often go through our days without acknowledging the simple wonders that make our lives what they are. We all have plans, goals, and dreams; and our lives are centered around how to accomplish those three things. Our health and family are two of the wonders that we often take for granted. Life then casts its eye upon you and those plans often change. They may change so much it then affects your goals and dreams.

My dad has had his plans change recently when he was diagnosed with Leukemia. He has taken this news like he does with most things regarding himself, smiling and without complaint. He has some hard weeks in the future regarding treatment. He traveled nearly 4 hours to be at the University of Michigan Hospital where he will undergo treatment for several weeks. My mom will be there with him as much as possible.

My sisters and I are starting this Go Fund Me page to ask for help for the expenses involved with treatment, especially the living expenses for my mom. Expenses will be for things such as lodging, gas, food, etc…. Any donation is greatly appreciated.

All of you that know my dad, know him to be the person that will give you anything but will rarely ask for anything. In fact, he doesn’t know that I’m asking for him now. We appreciate the support and prayers that we have already received from all of you. You all have lifted our

spirits, especially my dad’s.

We all try to find reasons why there is so much hurt in the world. I certainly don’t know, but I do know that without hurt, there cannot be hope.
