John Fisher’s Medical Expense Fund

My name is Ellen (Yatteau) Barney and I am John Fisher’s aunt. In 2006, John began experiencing grand mal seizures and was found to have a brain tumor the size of a large lemon. An amazing surgical team removed the tumor but we were informed that the tumor would have regrowth in the years to come. That time came four years later and this time treatment was in the form of radiation. John did well for many years until recently when he began experiencing symptoms which impacted his speech and motor skills. An MRI showed new findings which require more surgical intervention. John is scheduled for surgery on Wednesday, February 23rd and samples from that procedure will be sent for pathology. The next steps will depend on those results. Many have asked where they can send donations to cover the cost of medical treatment which will include multiple brain scans, surgery, medications, as well as possible radiation and/or chemotherapy. John has had a long battle but remains brave and hopeful. Your ongoing prayers, love and support for John are greatly appreciated.

Funds collected will be wired to John’s girlfriend of many years, Sarah Switzer, so that she can pay John’s medical bills while John is in treatment and recovers.
