Dear Friends and Family,
We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits. My dear husband, John, has been diagnosed with leukemia and is scheduled to undergo a bone marrow transplant in just a few short weeks. This life-saving procedure will require him to stay in the hospital for 4-6 weeks, followed by a rigorous recovery process.
Once John is discharged, we will need to travel back to Cleveland at least twice a week for additional testing and monitoring. During this time, John will be on several medications, including antifungal, antibacterial, and antiviral treatments, to ensure his body accepts the transplant and stays infection-free.
As his primary caregiver, I will be by his side 24/7 for the first 100 days after his release from the hospital. This means I will need to work from home as I can to provide the care and support he needs. Additionally, John will be unable to do much of anything around the house, including any yard work or heavy lifting, for 6-12 months, adding to our list of challenges.
We are humbly asking for your support to help us cover the mounting medical expenses, travel costs, and daily living expenses during this difficult time. Your generous contributions will allow us to focus on John’s recovery without the added stress of financial burdens.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in our lives. We are incredibly grateful for your love, prayers, and support as we navigate this journey together.
If you would also like to offer transportation, food, or cleaning services, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
With gratitude,
Kristen
