John Fellows Could Use Your Help

In 1995 John Fellows created Aspen Hollow Nursery in South Lake Tahoe. Since that time it has been a supply source for materials and also John's ability to create beautiful private and public outdoor spaces, including the meditation garden at Barton's Skilled Nursing Facility, the landscape and pond/waterfall at the Tahoe Senior Plaza, the mirror image curving rock walls and bear/moon sculpture at Ski Run, and countless residential magical spaces. Before and during the running of the nursery he created the interiors of the Cork and More's multiple locations, the hand-building of numerous fireplaces, stone steps and waterfalls, enhancing the life environments of countless appreciative people. This life's work has been a joy for John, along with the relationships, collaborations and friendships made along the way. He has also been a mentor and teacher to the many who have worked for and alongside him. He has poured his heart, soul and all resources into improving the aesthetics of this town.

At some point we all reach a moment in our lives when life changes, drastically for some. John has been working through daily pain and physical limitations for years and it has finally caught up with him. Multiple surgeries and treatments, and overwhelmingly, a cognitive decline, have made it imperative for the nursery to be sold so he can simplify the workings of his everyday life and concentrate on wellness.

John is working with a buyer who hopes to carry Aspen Hollow forward. Even with the sale, John is still in need of $35,000 to cover outstanding debt to complete the sale and also to go toward his ongoing medical requirements. Now he must retire and begin the next chapter. He is deeply thankful for all of you and humbly and profoundly grateful for your help.
