Hi Kennedy families, friends and possible donors,
Thank you for taking time to visit this page. John F Kennedy Elementary School is a FANTASTIC school, with terrific students, a wonderfully caring staff, and a supportive, dedicated community.
We are the PTO, Parent Teacher Organization, and we are raising money to help make Kennedy School even better by covering the cost of expenses that simply aren't considered in the school's budget.
With the funds raised through GoFundMe, the PTO will be able to enhance the experience of all the students in the school. The PTO pays for field trips for EVERY class, which bring to life the content being taught in the classrooms. PTO pays for computer programs, which help students with their reading skills. PTO pays for student awards, cadet awards, playground equipment/ toys and Smartboards. PTO pays for comprehensive Language Arts progams, chosen by the teachers, to enhance the learning experiences of our students.
PTO also makes donations to the Boys and Girls Club, the Boston School Forest and SPASH's Project Graduation.
We are excited this year to use GoFundMe for our fundraising efforts. Through GoFundMe, Kennedy PTO will keep about 92% of your donation (compared to only 40 - 50% though our traditional fall fundraising company.) Please consider a donation so that the PTO may keep funding these extra special opportunities for our students.
While we can say Thank You! (and we definietly do Thank You,) the best thanks is when students get off the bus from a field trip and can't stop talking about what a terrific experience they had, or hearing the laughter on the playground as the students chase each other up and down the equipment. Or even when a child scores 100% on his online reading assessment and is beaming because of it. These are the experiences we love to fund and with your support we can continue to do just that.
