Hello, my name is Carla and I am fundraising on behalf of my wonderful Father John Edward Sams Sr. He was being cared for by his first born son, John Jr. for the past 5 years after the sudden death of my mother. Recently, we found out my brother was secretly withdrawing thousands of dollars from my Dads bank account. My Dad had saved about $100,000 but after sitting with a banker, we were told his account only had about $600. My Dad was devastated. The bank informed us we could only file a claim for the past 60 days. In addition to the money, my brother had created a quit claim deed on my Dads home he owned. He forged my Dads signature on the document and filed it with the court giving him ownership of my Dads home. This was yet another devastating blow for him. My Dad is a retired Army veteran who spent about 30 years serving his country. He spent two tours in Vietnam as well, one of which he volunteered for. He also served 4 years in the Marines. He is a loving, caring, wonderful human being, Father, and Grandfather. He didn't deserve any of this. Let me tell you about my brother. You might be thinking he was a terrible, evil man...but that simply isn't true. My brother was apparently battling a drug addiction. He wasn't himself when he did these terrible things. Unfortunately, after being so distraught of what he did, he ended his addiction and his life. Our family is grieving the son and brother we remember before the addiction. Our family would like to try and raise money for his funeral and also for my Father's financial recovery. Please help. Thanks!
