John DeBenedictis Recover from emergency surgery

Donation protected
I’ve known and respected John DeBenedictis for about 25 years. He is a racer...the the kind of motorsports professional who you want on your team at the track, because if he is on someone else’s team, you will be tangling with one of the fiercest competitors I’ve known.

Always gentleman on and off the track, John is a big hearted puppy dog who’s bark is sometimes bigger than his bite, (don’t tell I him I said that) but keep in mind, that puppy dog is a straight shooting, tell it like it is, no holds barred kind of guy, who will reach out to help his friends and if necessary, go to the mat to support them any way he can.

On October 17th of this year, John DeBenedictis had a second surgery for bladder cancer.
Many of you who know John may not even know that he had bladder cancer! That wouldn't surprise me because John is the kind of guy who doesn’t complain about how tough life can be, he just puts his head down and charges forward. That’s the way John rolls, on and off the track!

The cancer surgery went well, however, while John was in the hospital, he contracted Necrotizing Fasciitis which is a flesh-eating bacterium that is worse than MERSA and extremely aggressive. On October 25th John underwent 2 separate emergency surgeries to remove the area that was infected with the bacteria, which within only a couple of days grew to a size that required the removal of an area on his right buttock 9 inches long, 5 inches wide and 4 inches deep, to stop the spread of the bacteria. The Surgeon told him he was withing 48 hours of dying!

That surgery was major and devastating, it has left John unable to work to support himself and pay his bills.
There will most likely be at least 6 months of rehab before John can even think of returning to work.

Money donated will help John to pay his bills while focusing on his rehab.
Someone once told me that on the racetrack we do battle...In the paddock we are all Family!
I am reaching out to our racing family and beyond, to request that we help one of our own in his time of need.
Sharing John’s story would be an awesome gesture and would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you all in advance for your support!
