John Copsey Memorial Education Fund for Sara

Our heads are reeling and our hearts are broken processing the sudden passing of our dear friend and colleague John Copsey. John was one of a kind - he was smart, empathetic, artistic, hilarious and quirky in the best of ways. He loved being a network radio anchor at Global News, horror films, music and all things Winnipeg. John also loved his  friends and family dearly. His love of his daughter Sara was unmeasurable and so apparent on social media. John’s sudden passing has left a huge hole in our hearts and a massive hole in Sara’s life.

Sara’s plan was to move to Vancouver this summer and live with John to attend the Emily Carr University of Art + Design. She has been working to save money for tuition, but now, with increased living expenses and without John’s support, her dream of moving to Vancouver and going to art school is in jeopardy.

The Emily Carr University estimates the cost of one year’s tuition and living expenses to be $25,389. Let’s work together to honour John, and to support Sara by making sure her dream of going to art school becomes a reality.
